Bison in Art

Local artist and friend, Shannon Lawlor, has captured the spirit of the bison on canvas in her paintings of our herd sire "Austin".  "Critical Mass", a close up of Austin, graced the cover of the 2004 Calgary Stampede Western Art Gallery brochures.  Another portrait of our herd sire titled "Ultimate View" was a Top 10 Finalist in the Manitoba Ducks Unlimited Art Competition for 2005.

Shannon has also taken the liberty of painting thought provoking images on a number of our carefully selected bison skulls.
